GPL 2017: Can Rigel Shine?11.04.2017

Singapore’s TLC Champions, Rigel, is set to represent the nation in the Garena Premier League (GPL) starting this Wednesday. They clinched a highly competitive series against Sovereign to take them back to this stage, having representing Singapore previously in the GPL Spring 2016. Rigel has indeed established themselves as mammoths in the local scene, sweeping through the TLC Championship without dropping a series the entire season.

A team blessed (or plagued) with young talents, Rigel never had the chance to unleash their full potential in the regional stage due to minimum age requirements; Raven and Ciela could not take part in the GPL Spring 2016 Season due to minimum age requirements.

This week could prove different for the returning challengers, now that Ciela has matured and veteran Cralix takes the mid position. Although their main mid laner (Raven) is still unable to compete, Cralix has been with Rigel since the beginning of the year - giving him much time to gel with the rest of the main roster and get used to their playstyle.

The winners of the Spring season of GPL will advance to the Mid Season Invitationals and represent the entire SEA region in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! Cheer on our local representatives and catch them live on
